THOUGHT DIVERS JOURNAL

“I love all who dive, the whole corps of thought divers that have been diving and coming up again with blood shot eyes since the world began” - Herman Melville

Melville wrote these words in a letter 171 years ago; a writer, philosopher, a human filled with the spirit of exploration. Created in this spirit, Thought Divers Journal is a weekly newsletter made for thinkers, creatives and pioneers.

With TDJ, I’m interested in writing at the crossroads of the mind & heart, the religious & secular, and the theoretical & practical. Together, we’ll trace a map of questions by referencing the great literary voices of the past like guiding signals in the night.

This is intellectual curiosity for the spiritually inclined.

Every other week you’ll receive a brief letter crafted around literature, philosophy, culture and self-exploration. Some letters may dive leagues under the surface, others may tread close in the shallows. But I promise to submerge them all in careful thought.

My purpose is not to trace some complete philosophy, but to explore the depths and nuance of the human experience by engaging the literatures of the past and sharing stories, old and new. In the end, I hope to draw out a timeless wisdom for us to share. Let us keep the tradition of thought-diving alive and well.

Get your letters by subscribing below & thank you for taking this journey with me.

Keep diving,

A.J.
